Ellie riding Tinus's Dream Weaver (following his Daddy's footsteps) LOOK OUT MIKASA - there is a new kid on the block!
Tinus's Dream Weaver
I started with 3 Morgan mares breeding to select Friesians to create my Moriesians. I first used the well known Nero, from Minnesota. Then the stable goals changed for a few years from breeding for the public to create foals to be broodmares I could breed back to Mikasa. I added new performance blood from the stallion "Gries Tjeerd" from Washington and then kept the rest of my breeding program with Proud Meadows, from Texas. Proud Meadows has put themselves on the map with the first Friesian ever to earn USDF Horse of the Year National Champion AND Prix St. Georges National Champion, Fourth Level.
I selectively raised all my Moriesians to obtain my goals. My perseverance and belief in the Moriesian breed became a reality in the year 2003. My one horse dream is now a well-known breeding program. Mikasa is all the more reason to breed to a Moriesian... Opus Black Mikasa is destined to become one of the finest foundation stallions of the Moriesian breed - and his foals are on the way to prove it.
He earned elite status in the Moriesian registry based on performance & now PRETTY IS AND PRETTY DOES - Opus Black Mikasa created the FIRST IN HISTORY of second generation Moriesians. I was the first to have the opportunity to breed purebred Moriesian to purebred Moriesian. It was such a thrill for me that my "baby" I raised Sheer Elegance - She was the first to carry on Opus Black Mikasa's name in the Moriesian breed for me. She produced the FIRST IN HISTORY of second generation Moriesian. Her filly was named Mikasa's Elegance Dancer. "The Dance" is deep black color ? Elegantly refined, very pretty head. The Dance?s personality is Hey- A human! Pet me pet pet me! Sold & CONGRADULATIONS to: Janet & David Ottwell from Rockford Illnois. "The Dance"was found when she was just started under saddle. That filly thought her first ride was fun and not much fazed her. She is really showy when she moves out and extends! My mare Mideva produced for me - the SECOND IN HISTORY named Mikasa's Bold Dandy. Dandy thought her 1st ride was no big deal even though it was the second time she carried a saddle. Dandy is quiet and easy going and turned out to be a big horse and big mover like her mom! Both fillies were in parades as weanlings and yearlings with teddy bears riding them. Halter broke, trailers-bathes-stands for farrier and solid basic manners. My specialty is: all our foals are started on the path to be a friend for life with their new owner.
The size of my herd is small - the focus is quality. High standards are needed in the stallion I chose for my mares in creating a versatile performance/family horse with Pizzazz!!! Quite a few people who have bought my foals are in the show ring making a name for themselves. Many others enjoying their animal on the trail, just wanting a flashy versatile horse.
Twin Artesian Stables has also made a name for itself with the type of training offered. The horses that are sold have such a solid foundation the new owner can go right into what ever discipline they desire. Many references available.
LOOK OUT MIKASA - THERE IS A NEW KID ON THE BLOCK !! Our Jr Stallion - Tinus's Dream Weaver is making a name for himself - AND also in the show ring!!! In 2008 he produced Zia's First Woven Dream - the first moriesian foal from a 2nd generation mare, our Mikasa's Bold Dandy. More on him later.
